All participants learn that they have intrinsic value to the group. They learn hard skills from Navigation and map reading to manage different weather conditions and environmental matters. Participants learn to cook outdoors together and learn practical organisational skills with the use and handling of equipment.

For us though it’s the soft skills which have a longer lasting effort, these skills include:

Positive communication skills

Knowing when to listen to others and when to be heard,

Problem solving challenges through investigating the facts and making decisions together.

The understanding the world around them and that we all see the world in different ways from the perspective of typical and neurodiverse aspects.

Having empathy and looking out for each other and being aware of the mental well-being of themselves and others around them.

The value of productivity working as a collective whole, putting aside value of self-progress, to achievement a common goal, that leads to personal empowerment.

Understanding that mistake empower growth and understanding how some thing has works and not, creates a benightment that helps them to grow.
